GET INVOLVED AND STAY INVOLVED!

Parental involvement is a huge factor in your child’s development and success. We encourage your involvement by hosting regular stay and play sessions and home school learning. We also keep you up to date by a variety of methods e.g in person, emails, Facebook and Instragram.

Your involvement is of great importance to our success. Our policy leaves you immeasurable room for involvement. This includes supporting and participating in special events, such as stay and play and Mother’s Day Cream Tea. You’re an integral part of your child’s success.

We treat every child as our own, dedicating ourselves wholeheartedly to their success.

EYFS CURRICULUM

Footprints Pre-School follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS).

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that we must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives the children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.

What to expect, when? A parent's guide

The purpose of this booklet is to help you as a parent/carer find out more about how your child is learning and developing during their first five years, in relation to the EYFS.

HIGHEST STANDARDS

We take your child’s health and nutrition very seriously as is important for their physical development and long term health, but it doesn’t stop there...  Nutrition also affects focus, cognitive development, hand-eye coordination and much more. That is why we provide high quality of food. We ask that all parents notify us of any special dietary requirements, preferences, allergies or intolerances that your child may have and we also operate a nut-free policy, so if your child attends the setting for lunch, their packed lunch must not contain any nuts or nut products e.g. peanut butter or nut-based chocolate spreads. At lunchtime the children eat together alongside staff members, as eating in a social group can be an important part of discovering new foods and learning to enjoy mealtimes.

We have a responsibility to provide a safe learning environment for everyone in our preschool and therefore have taken the decision to be Nut Free. We ask that you do not have any nut products in lunchboxes or any other items containing nuts brought into the nursery. Please click here to access our current menu.
