OUR CLASSROOMS
Baby Room (Only at our Addlestone Branch)
Footprints offers our youngest children a safe and friendly environment where they can explore and play. Our Baby room has a separate sleep room where the babies sleep soundly. As we have a busy morning and normally need a sleep after lunch, we have lunch at 11.30am. However we do try to best follow your current routines.
Toddler Room
Our Toddler room encourages the children to gain more independence through the concept of 'having a go', feeding themselves and pouring their own drinks at meal times. This helps them to gain confidence in a safe, supportive environment where we are always on hand to help out if needed.
Pre-School Room
Within Preschool the focus is on preparing your child for the transition to school with a combination of free-play and guided activities. Some of the ways in which we support your child is through phonics, fine motor skills e.g writing, and basic mathematical skills. We have an emphasis on learning through play and therefore children regularly engage in a range of exciting activities e.g science experiments and hatching chicks to name a few.
SETTLING IN
At Footprints we feel it's important for us to get to know every child and their family individually.
The settling in programme that we have in place is tried and tested to ensure that both child and
parents are well prepared for starting at nursery via up to 3 hour settlement sessions.
We understand that it is an emotional time for parents when their child starts at nursery for the first time, so we
strive to make this as easy as possible for you and will support you through the transition.
